New Balance Numeric 212 Primitive Shoes
Designed in collaboration with Californian skateboarding powerhouse Primitive, these blue and white New Balance Numeric 212 Primitive Shoes offer a performance-minded uplift to the pre-existing lace-up 212 profile. Inspired by ‘70s court shoes and led by the design’s lengthy heritage, these suede and canvas skate shoes are creatively redesigned with triple-layered velcro fastenings across the exposed-foam tongue, whilst the grippy rubber outsole and pre-formatted abrasion bumpers across the toe-bumper ensure that premium-quality performance and protection are adhered to at all times. A dark-navy foxing tape stripe brings textualised depth to the crisp-white midsole, whilst the stacked bartack stitching across the curved toe panel, semi-circle side wall stress points and the lightly padded uppers offer impact resilience and exemplary comfort from first wear. A gold-trimmed ‘N’ decal decorates both the exterior and interior sidewalls, whilst gold-stitch ‘Primitive New Balance Numeric’ under-velcro branding is concealed beneath each single strap. Gold-foil ‘Primitive’ printed heel decals below the iconic ‘New Balance’ embossed counter complement the custom ‘NB#212’ embroidered tongue tabs, whilst the passport stamp-style customised insoles pay homage to this monumental collaboration in style.
Launched in 2008 by Paul Rodriguez, Heath Brinkley, Andy Netkin, Jay Partow and Jubal Jones, Primitive is a skate shop known for its originality, trending character and its collaborative work with the likes of Cheech & Chong, Notorious B.I.G and famed photographer Van Styles. Home to team-riders such as Tiago Lemos, Miles Silvas and Robert Neal, Primitive free-willingly represents a lifestyle as much as it does a skate-focused brand.
